WHAT IS INSULATION AND HOW DOES IT FUNCTION?
WE USE TWO KINDS OF MATERIALS IN OUR GEAR TO INSULATE YOU FROM THE COLD:
DOWN FROM DUCKS OR A FLOCK OF GEESE, AND SYNTHETIC (HUMAN-MADE) FIBERS.
- They both Slog in the equivalent way by conning air within
their assemblies. The down or synthetic don’t actually
keep you warm, it’s all about their ability to excellently
trap air and keep it firm.
You will find air acting as an insulator in all sorts of places.
In the walls of your home, in your mattress, or even your
on-the-go coffee cup. Insulated gear usually uses either
down or synthetic insulation, although some products may
use both of them in their assembly.
WHAT IS DOWN?
- Down is the soft layer of feathers closest to bird’s skin, primarily in
the chest region. It basically is the light fluffy coating clustered
beneath the feathers of waterfowl that helps to protect them and keep
them warm through natural insulation. Down is a three dimensional
cluster made up of fluffy filaments and contains no quill. If they are
secured and warm in the damp condition, it will be warm enough
for us aswell.
RESPONSIBLE DOWN STANDARDS (RDS)
Responsible down Standards (RDS) on ones own certifies down against animal
welfare reuirements.
This is a KAEMP8848 committed style: In addition to meeting strict and third partyaudited
sustainability and social responsibility standards more over KAEMP-8848
Only uses RDS certified down.

DOWN ASSEMBLE RATIO:
This is the total amount of feather and down
mixed together which is present in your down
insulated gear.
THE HIGHER THE PR0PORTION, THE MORE
DOWN THE GEAR CARRY.
For the ducks down, we have a assemble ratio of
80:20 which basically means 20% of feathers are
together with the down. But, for our goose items, the
assemble ratio is 90:10 where minimum of down
mass is 90%
